Zee is a wire hair Jack/Boston mix, he's got such a beautiful rare coat, it's different to the touch. We adopted him from our local shelter when he was about 6 months old, he's 1 1/2 years now. We have 2 children and our 9 month old plays really rough with him, sometimes i do feel bad for him, the way she plops down next to him and yanks on his hair. His retaliation is to get up lick her face and find another sleep spot. He's wonderful because our 5 year old is very active and with a pretty hyper dog he keeps him entertained for most of the day! He's always excited to see us when we come home, and knows when it's down time.

We live on a third floor condo, and suprisingly enough we have never had a barking problem from him. He only barks when we wind him up playing with him a lot. The 1 and only problem we have had with him is that he's very protective when he's on his leash and I'm walking him. He wont let anyone approach him or I when we're on walks. He will growl and bark at them till they are out of sight. We have tried many different techniques to help with this but nothing works. Our neighbors know to stay away from us now because i don't want to chance anyone getting bit. When people come to our place and come inside it's a totally different story. He's a sweet loving dog who just wants a belly rub, so he can protect me all he wants. Who knows maybe he senses something no one knows about these people!
