It is hard to find good food..
by: Anonymous

We have an 11.7 month old Boston.. She has a sensitive tummy.. When we got her she was eating Purina pro plan puppy food, which worked pretty well for her, but when it came time for us to buy our own pup food, we had thought of trying something that was more wholesome..we tried blue buffalo small breed puppy food and her poop was huge and she had house clearing farts all the time, we switched her off of that onto Wellness which worked for about 5 months and lately her pooh is soft again.. we think maybe it is because she has quit growing and is ready for adult food, we are going to try that this week. so far the wellness and pro plan worked the best.

Best Dog Food
by: Meagan

I agree that sometimes it takes trial and error to find the best food for your dog. Millie is eating Fromm's. It is a grain-free food and is very high in protein. She has allergies so we are limited to the kinds of foods she can eat. We also use Weruva soft dog food it is grain-free as well. These two brands are great but can be harder to find. It has been worth the search! She has a beautiful coat, healthy teeth, her eyes have stopped watering and she in no longer itchy. Very pleased with the quality of these products. Also an added bonus she has little to no gas!!! Amazing!!

Wellness dog food
by: Ashley

I have a Boston named Juno. She is almost 2 years old. I fed her Wellness Puppy and now that she's an adult I feed her Wellness Adult. Its a holistic food with no by products and no fillers. Hope this helps.

Groceries

In my experience, finding the right food for your Boston may be a series of trial-and-error options until you locate something your baby will eat and is good for him/her. I've tried Nutro Small Bites, which seemed good and produced small stools; however, my fussy boy often turned his nose up at it,(also, not always in stock at the pet store) so I started trying other options. Science Diet was quickly discarded, even though he seemed to like it all right, because now the stools were about 3 times the previous amount. I found Blue Diamond, or whatever it was I was getting from Tractor Supply Co., difficult to come by on a regular basis. Now they are on Iams Pro Health. They like it (well, my girl eats anything) and the stools are smaller again. Right now, I'm sticking with that. Let us know how you make out.

I am currently using Blue Buffalo Wilderness and also Orijens is good. Blue is easier to find. They are no grain and higher in protein, which Boston's need.
