What could be causing my BT to have suddlenly start taking seizures?
My Boston Terrier is just over two yrs. old and has recently began having seizures. The first one that we know of him taking was the day we got his nails trimmed. We thought that maybe it was just a bad experience for him and maybe him being nervous caused it. But since then, it has happened on more occasions than I'm comfortable with. Although, I can say it seems like it's when he's stressing.
Ex. we take him almost everywhere we go because I don't like leaving him alone, and we were bickering back and forth in the car,(no yelling and screaming) but he felt the tension in my belief.
When he does have them they last probably right at a minute or less (seems like a lifetime) but I'm wondering are there medical conditions in the Boston Terrier bloodline that causes these dogs to have seizures? Can the simple feelings of being stressed cause it, just that alone? I have spoken with one other BT owner and his has had seizures in the past. He claims he gives his BT baby aspirin daily and that since he started that, his BT has stopped with the seizures. Is my baby gonna be OK?
