Wavy haired girl

both of our bosties seem to be developing wavy hair near their tails..... their hair also stands up on end when they are alerted....like a ridge back!
Anyone else find this in their dogs?

The hair by their tails isn't really wavy, but they have corkscrew tails, so it does grow in the direction of the tail bends. Yes, when on alert, the hair stands up along their spine. That's pretty normal for all dogs, but you see it more when it's short-coated.
