Unhappy blast from the past!

I was really disturbed to read those comments by the dog racist. I thought we were no longer allowed to discriminate based on color. I have a red and white and have a blk and white nephew dog. And the only difference I see is the color! What's the issue?? Ok so we won't try to show them!! So what i think they are cute. And to accuse those of us other color owners of not caring about the breed is crazy! why would we have these farting, snoring things if we did not love them??

 Red or colored bostons

I know that for me, it's not that I am a "dog racist" but the red bostons are more prone to genetic defects, and have more health problems. the issue also is, breeders tend to try to sell red bostons as "rare" and up the cost, in the end the new owner who has been duped into to buying this "rare coloration often ends up with a sickly, or genetically defective dog. the onus is on the breeder to not perpetuate the line of red puppies, and not try to swindle ignorant, or unknowing potential owners. There is a reason that the AKC sets a breed standard, it's not to be mean, but it's meant to ensure the genetic durability, and longevity of the animal for the owners and showers. My dog is a b/w boston, but lacks the full face mask, I have no intention of showing him, and love him that much more because he doesn't look exactly like other bostons, oh and his tail doesn't cork screw, it's just got a little crook in it :).

I have to agree with you. I think that it's arrogant to assume we have the authority to limit others' rights by means of derogatory or inflammatory statements concerning their family/pets/etc.

One who would do this, is of small mind and no heart.

We LOVE our colors and this world is big enough for all of us!

My theory is that if you don't like it, don't own it but don't try to limit others.

You can be in a club that doesn't allow others, but don't try to limit the number of clubs. It's a nice way of saying stick to your own business because they might need you there.
