TIPS ON HOW TO HELP MY MALE BT TO MATE

by Elizabeth Z

My male BT is 2 yrs first time stud and when a female BT is in heat, he doesn't know what to do. He is submissive with all other dogs and can run with his tail between his legs, could that be the problem? I'm hoping for tips on how to help him. He is very good looking and I really would like to stud him out. HELP!!!

A stud needs to feel "in charge".
The female should be brought to the male's house (As long as the male feels like the top dog there). This is the best way to mate.

If you take him to her house, they might not mate. And if you meet somewhere (like a dog park) he may or may not feel studdish (if you know what I mean).

The female needs to be in heat, too. Sometimes WE think the female is ready, but her cycle says "not yet".
