This little guy has helped our family!

Cash, 8 wks old

We just got "Cash" an 8 week old BT! We were mourning the loss of our 3 yr old Jack Russell, Diva who escaped from her leash and was hit by a car right in front of our children, Koty 13, and Kaleb 9. This devastated our family and we thought we would be sad forever. Well, someone told my husband that the best way to deal with this was to get a new puppy. We have always liked Boston Terriers, but have never owned one, so I looked for a pup. Luckily there was a breeder within 50 miles of us and I had to check them out. So glad we did cause as soon as we seen him we knew he was the one for us! We fell in love instantly!

Although we still miss Diva, Cash has helped us take our minds off the tragedy of losing her! We are spoiling this little dog rotten and he is even sleeping in the bed with us! His bestfriend is a 2 yr old pitbull named Lola & they play, fight, eat, sleep, together and Cash thinks shes his mommy. We are looking forward to many years with our little man, and I am glad to learn and share our love of Boston Terriers with everyone.

Cash is Great!
by: Tiffany

Thank you all for checking on our little Monster! He is alive and doing great! He is such a joy. We dressed him up as our favorite football mascot with a GA Bulldog sweater for Halloween and he will not let us take it off of him since! So cute!

PARVO
by: Tiffany

Please pray for Cash!! He has the Parvovirus and is being treated by a local vet.. He's been there since Monday, and is still very weak. Due to the very high cost of the treatments this far I am having to bring him home and try and nurse our little dude back to his happy, healthy, crazy self.. Please pray for us and wish me luck! Also, if anyone has any suggestions, please help me out.. Thanks everyone!

Thoughts on Bostons
by: BT

My dad bought his first Boston about 83 years ago so we grew up with them. Dad insisted that all of ours wear a harness and not a collar. He saw a dog, not a Boston, who had died hanging on a fence when he could not make that jump. It is more difficult to slip a harness than a collar.

Your Cash is a beautiful little boy. And yes, you were right to get one right away. They heal us. I lost the father and grandfather of my current family and the tiniest of the last litter is the one who comforted her brother, her mom and me.

My little girl at age 7 is currently the nana of 13 grandpups - 10 girls and 3 boys (2 litters - one of 6 and one of 7).

Good luck with your precious Boston. They are joy. I have had four who lived past 15.

tragedy
by: Linda Galway/TurnerME

My husband and I have been through your tragedy as well with our first Boston, Bogie, in the same way; we, too, got a new puppy as soon as we could. Within 3 days, we had a deposit on a baby born the day after Bogie died. It was the best way to heal our broken hearts. We still talk about Bogie, but it is with a lighter heart. Darby has made that difference for us, and with the addition of our rescue girl, Scarlett, our Boston family is complete. Blessings to you and yours.

We too had a puppy pull out of his collar:(
by:

So sorry to hear about your loss of Diva. A year ago we too had our puppy (5 month old boston) pull out of his collar and get hit by a car in front of our 12 year old daughter and myself! We also went through all the emotions of "we will never get another dog" to "how could this happen?"
The best thing we did was to just keep our routine going immediatly. Everyone went to work or school the very next day. We were extreamly greatful that my daughter didn't run into the street after the dog. Things could have been so much worse!
We too purchased a puppy boston right away. As you know you can never replace Diva, but bringing in a new puppy definently helps the hurt.
One thing we will never walk our dog without is a "NO! SLIP COLLAR"! That is the name of it. Our puppy trainer recommended it. Hope that helps you too get over the fear of "it may happen again."

I am so glad you all are happy with him. I could not ask for a better home for one of my puppies to go to. He is beautiful and looks very happy with you all.
