The backs of a BT's ears.

I've never had a BT before but I love my 8 month old Bingley. The fur on the backs of his ears is much finer than the rest of his fur, and short/light, and feels velvety. Is this normal?

Thinner and finer hair on the back of a BT's ears is normal.

I find myself sitting on the couch and rubbing those softie ears between my fingers. I think my dogs like it too.
