I was wondering if anybody knows how to get rid of tear stains. My 5 year old Boston Terrier has them I have tried everything but nothing seems to be working.

Go to Pet Smart. They have something called Nutri-Vet Tear Stain-Less for dogs. It's a powder that we sprinkle the recommended amount on a plate. We just wash our face in the morning and then have his "eye medicine". It must taste good. He actually looks forward to it and licks it like it was a treat.

There is a product called Eye Envy you can get it on amazon.com. its a cleaner and a powder 2 step system that you should use. But Also the best thing is change your dogs water to bottled or filtered water after 6months you should notice no stains and can stop using the product. People who have Maltese and other white dogs swear by this. I only give my dog brita filtered water and have no used eye envy in years.

Eye Stain Remedies

There are alot of natural remedies, topical treatments, and other solutions to eye stain that use no chemicals and are all natural.

They are painless and work good on sensitive areas. Certain types of topical vinegar and herbal eye washes work great.

I know there are doggy shampoos that are suppose to get rid of tear stains and if that doesn't work try a shampoo for platinum blond hair or gray hair for people you will have to be careful around the eyes though but these work great on white hair, the shampoo will be a purple color so do not be alarmed.
