Stubby

Bringing him home (he was an 8 year old rescue now he's 9) I started with names of BU (terriers) football players- Flutie etc. But I am a 49ers fan and came to call him Stubby which is a nickname for Dana Stublefield who was a defensive lineman during the 80s-90s.

I later found out that there was a "sgt stubby" from the first world war. He is believed to be part pitbull but some refs suggest he may have been a BT mix.

Thanks for sharing those covers and the story of you and your BT. Great name. Many people wouldn't rescue a dog that age. So glad you did.
