any recommendations for 6 week old BT? i have researched them prior to deciding to buy one, so i understand the have sensitive stomachs. any advice on what puppy food is best? my pup while be ready in 2 weeks

congrats on your boston baby. When i got my boston i kept her on the food the breeder had her on and i had to change it because when i brought her home she had really bad diehrreah. After bringing her to the vet and all we changed her food. We put her on "Taste of the Wild". We get it at our local Tractor Supply store. She loves the food. There are a few different types you can choose from but its all natural food. Its grain free and has fruits and veggies. She has done wonders on it. She has a beautiful coat that shines and she is not overweight. Its a wonderful food if your thinking about changing your bostons food look it up and check the "taste of the wild" out for yourself.

Congratulations on your impending adoption. At first, keep your baby on the same food the breeder has been feeding. There are a lot of quality foods on the market to choose from; stay away from those with a lot of fillers and grains. We chose Nutro Puppy (I think it might have been lamb and rice, but I'm not sure) and then transitioned to Nutro Small Bites. Our BTs are doing very well on that, are not overweight, have great coats and skin, so I'm not inclined to change at this point. It's reasonably priced, although I found Pet Quarters to have a better deal on this than Petco... go figure!

When you do transition, do it very slowly so the digestive tract has time to adjust, gradually increasing the percentage of new food. Do this over at least a week, preferably two. Good luck!
