Six year old Boston Terrier who is house trained has started peeing in the house.

Our BT Rocky is six years old has been house trained since he was 8 weeks. He now sleeps alot, has gained about 6 pounds, is just not active, and has started peeing in the house at night when we are a sleep. I let him out to go to the bathroom before i go to bed and he has no water left out to drink at night. I took him to the vet a few months ago for his shots and she said she say nothing wrong. He was hit by a car a year ago his ijuries were just bruising, our daughter got married and moved out several month ago thats when he started acting a little depressed, I just want to know what may be wrong with him I love him very much and don't want anything to happen to him.
