Sir Bugsley

I rescued Sir Bugsley from our home town animal Shelter where my daughter is an animal control officer. He is approx., a year old. I have found him to be a very loving dog and gets along great with my other 2 dogs and 3 cats. He is creat trained but is having problems house breaking. When he goes outside all he wants to do is bark to come back in.The other issue we are running across is he does not sleep very long.When he awakes he thinks everyone needs to wake. Needless to say we are getting exhausted! Does anyone have any suggestions on either of these?
