Should I Get Another BT?

I have a 12 week old BT that I love to pieces!!! Although she's still going through training and the puppy phase, I'd really like to get a male BT for a companion for her. How old should she be before I get another one? I'm able to spend most of my day with them. The most they would be alone would be for 4 hours a couple days of the week. Am I biting off more than I can chew with 2 young BTs?

Two for Tea?
by: Mary

I am sure you will get different opinions on this question but here is mine...

Two puppies entertain each other and give you less work to do as far as exercising. There will be double the food and vet expense, but to me that is minimal. We had two puppies at first and they were a joy. We still took them for walks and spent time training them, but they would keep playing and playing after all that so we had some time to sit back and just watch them.

Then we got the third puppy. She was a joy also and just joined in on the fun. It was easier to train her because she just followed along with the rest.

Now the only problem is that we have 3 times the poop to scoop...but that is something we can tolerate.

another BT

If you have the time and desire to devote to another BT puppy, I don't see any reason you shouldn't do it. Having the puppies together will ensure they're really never alone, even when you're gone for those four hours. We have two that are 3 months apart in age, although they are not related. We love having two, so if you're ready, go for it. Expecially as puppies, they will play and wear each other out.

Yes go for it

If you have a stable life style and can continue to spend the amount of time you mention with your dog(s) then I would say yes. I have a two litter brothers and they adore each others company - like mirror images. Very naughty but oh so much fun.
