I have a 9.5 week old "Buggs". He is so cute! He weighed 9.8 lbs when he went in for his shots at 8 weeks. I have not weighed him since but can tell he has grown larger. He is very solid and his paws are large. Is this a normal weight for his age and hybrid breed? How much do you aniticipate him weighing at adulthood?

Average Buggs

The weight of your dog at adulthood is always a guess but you can get pretty close. First, look at the size of the parents. Most of his size will be inherited. Then, look at the AKC website to see the average size of both breeds (Pugg and Boston Terriers). That will give you a range. I know that there are some size divisions within each breed also, (small, medium, and large). Some Bostons can get up to 30 pounds and there are some that barely reach 12 pounds, so there is quite a range!
