Rocky takes the term lap dog to a whole new level.

I have a 2 year old Boston Terrier that I rescued a year ago. He is wonderful. Was housebroken from the beginning, I am older and he is happy with not a lot of long walks. He sleeps with me or my brother who is disabled. Never a mess in the house. BUT......he always wants on our lap. If we are sitting down he has to be laying on our laps. If I am on my laptop he will sit and stare at me (sometimes for an hour) until I put the lap top down so he can get on my lap. I don't know what to do, sometimes I just want to be lap free.

Agreed. AKC even classifies them as a 'companion dog'. It's a breed thing. That and their weird frog legs that lay completely flat when they are on their belly.

Love this gassy breed. Best personalities.

lap dogs

In my experience, BTs are lap dogs first and foremost. In fact, I am typing this on my laptop with a BT on my lap. The other one is on my hubby's lap. That's just the way it is, so learn to love it because you'll certainly miss it when they're gone. This usually works out better if you're on the couch or in a recliner. There's a little more room for both of you.
