Grace had cataracts at 3 yrs old. Now at 6 yrs old she has Glaucoma. The surgeries are all quite expensive. Does anyone have any experience with this? We got the pressure down in the eye, but the surgery options are all expensive and scary.

After having LASER treatment. Grace retina detached, now she has blood behind the eye, It was suppose to clear up in a couple months, it has not. After all that money she cannot see and has a horrible looking eye.

I'm sorry about Princess Grace. Our Abbie's retinas detached too. The eye with the glaucoma was already blind but she lost the sight in the other suddenly. I assume they are monitoring Grace's eye pressure. The treatment must be costing you a fortune. Yes, it broke my heart when everything went wrong for my Abbie after surgery. I just wanted to fix her and it back fired terribly. So when I found this forum I've been posting to people not to have the surgery. Bostons don't seem to be good candidates at all. Maybe save some other Bostons problems. I love the pic of Grace. She's so pretty.

2 weeks after glaucoma surgery, she got a detached retina. The eye has a blood clot, all of which they say will go away. It's been since the summer and the eye is still bright red.Pretty discouraging to go through the surgery then have her loose her eye. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

How is Princess Grace? Our Boston developed glaucoma after we tried the surgery to remove her cataracts. It's a terrible, painful disease and expensive to treat. Our Abbie did not respond to the treatment and we had to remove her eyes. She felt so much better afterwards! She was already blind so it didn't really matter. They adapt really well to adversity. She never let it get her down. She kept right on playing frisbee.
