Pimple like bump above boston's eye

My two year old Boston terrier has a small pimple like bump above his right eye. He has had it for about 2 weeks. I notice a few days before he got it that eye was running and he had some eye goop stuck where the bump now is. Could it be a pimple or ingrown hair? It doesn't seem to bother him. Is it common for bostons to get pimples? I have been trying to put a warm compress on it if he ever let's me near his eye.
