Phoebe out foster girl

Phoebe out foster girl

I wanted to share this with all of the Boston lovers out there! I love looking at the pictures and comments from all of the Boston lovers out there! It is nice to know I am not the only person crazy about these little dogs. This is Phoebe my first Boston that I fostered. We rescued her from a puppy mill with 3 others. She would have been shot on Easter day if we did not get them off the property. She was 8 years old and no longer any use to the breeder because she was to old. She turned out to be a doll. She of course had some issues but how could she not with the inhumane treatment she endured.

I went on petfinders yesterday to see how many Bostons needed help. My eyes swelled with tears. I have never seen so many unwanted Bostons before. Maybe the economy is partly to blame. I am asking all us fellow Boston lovers that if you can please consider opening your home to a Boston in need. The groups pay for all medical bills. (Not food) You really learn how to work and train a dog and the rewards are endless. Phoebe found a great home after months of being with us. There is nothing better than having a very happy ending for a Boston Terrier!

Boston Rescue

Great post, Alison. We recently got a French Bulldog through a rescue that saved her from a puppy mill. It's sickening how those dogs are bred constantly, then dumped like trash when they're done trying to get puppies out of them.

For those of you that would like to help, but may not be able to foster, consider donating to your local BT rescue. Most of them have a long list of supplies that they need. It's easy to just pick up an extra bag of dog food, an extra dog toy, or even extra cleaning supplies (always in demand with rescues!) when you're buying your own, and donate it.

With the economy like it is, rescues are really hurting for donations, but if you break it up and pick up one or two extras while buying for yourself, it spreads out your cost, and you can still make a difference.
