Older Boston Terrier: Peeing in the house

My female boston is about 13 years old. She has recently (5 months or so) started peeing in the house. Even after we just let her in from outside. When she does this peeing in the house she licks it up! UGH! WHY?!! Please help!

Awww...Poor little guy, Hope he/she feels better soon. I don't know to much on the history of this breed, but goes she have pet friends that come over for playdates, the only time my little guy will pee and try and clean it up if there is another dog in the house, but he only does it when the dog leaves so then I have to put him in his room and go throught the whole house and do the floors before he can come back out and he is find, donno if that the case, But if it not something like that i would take her/him to the vet if it get no better, Im pretty sure you can by a puppy diaper as well for old doggies who can not hold there pee, they are alot like human in so may ways, she/he may have hada flu bug/ cold in there kidney or it may just be old age..god only knows..But I hop ehse feels better soon. it just break my heart when any pets are sick I just soo wish they could talk some days to let ya know whats going on..~Well take care puppers..Hugs~

Peeing

Older dogs have a hard time controlling their elimination. There may be a more serious reason though, so have your vet check her out.

One theory on why they lick it up is that they do not want it there. They can't go get paper towels so they lick it.

You may want to try pee pads or that new plastic grassy pee thingy I see on TV.
