Nervous Boston Terrier Nips Without Warning

I have a 3 yr old Boston Terrier who is the best dog I have owned, however, he gets very nervous around anyone else and seems his insecurity is escalating. I also have a 8 mo old pug, whom he dominates by humping her (he is neutered, and she spayed)
I find generic information is not specific enough to this breed, and I would love to hear from anyone who loves their BT so much, but knows how to solve this nipping/nervous behaviour -thanks.
