Need Advice - 2 Males & 1 Female Boston Terrier

My Husband & I fell in love with this breed, but we have run into a dilemma. We first brought home 2 male Bostons who are brothers so they wouldn't have to be separated. Then he decided he wanted a female so we proceeded to bring home a female. Our family too fell in love with the breed so we decided to mate our eldest male with the females. Now up till now they are the best of friends but, since we took a trip to the in-laws all they did was mark their territory and we figured it was to make a strange place feel like home. So we came back and my eldest was marking everywhere in our home. Our furniture, pillars in the house, backpacks, shoes and her kennel. It got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore so we decided that belly bands would be used while inside the home so no marking would go on.

Well, two months has passed since they began with the marking, but it has gone as far to as my oldest male peeing or marking on my female and now he marked his brother as well. I'm at wits end. A trainer suggested I find a new home for me eldest male or neuter and spay my pets or else my eldest was going to hurt the brother or kill him when she comes in to heat. I have forgotten to mention that the female is going on 9 months and has not gone into heat yet and the boys are 11 months now. I'm looking for a second opinion if anyone could offer. This is becoming an issue in my home and marriage.

Marking
by: Mary

Marking is a difficult subject.
I have noticed that when my females are not in heat there is much less marking. I only have one male and two females. I do find the male marking sometimes when the females are not in heat but I noticed that if I take him outside every hour there is less marking. (Maybe he is running on Empty?) He can get that belly band off in 1.2 seconds!

When I see him mark I hollar NO! and grab him and tell him in a deep voice NO MARKING! Then I put him outside. He really doesn't like to get into trouble so he will creep near to me when he gets to come back inside (usually about 5 minutes later).

If I find a marking spot I still look at him with an ugly look and say "NO MARKING" and he cowers to the floor and creeps close to me.

I clean all these spots up with an enzyme cleaner. It takes a lot of patience, so if you might be running out of patience then neutering is a good choice.
