Booger

Booger, was born in January, 1998 and I purchased her from a Trade days festival in March of the same year. She was so cute. I could not help myself.
I went to the festival because I wanted to get another Chihuaua because mine went for a walk and never came back.
When I saw Booger for the first time, I just could not get over her sad little eyes looking back at me when I placed her back in her kennel. I had my friend negotiate the price down from $150.00 to $125.00 because I knew I would be too much of a sucker to bargain for her.
Once we agreed to a price, I was done. She has brought me, my husband and my son so much joy over the last 10 years.
I did not work the first year of her life so I was able to spend every minute with her. She is so smart that she decided she did not have to learn any tricks except the one that gets her a treat.
Instead of me training her, it is more like she trained me. She lets me know when I need to feed her, give her treats, rub her belly, let her go potty, and also when it is time to go to sleep and time to wake up.

She is great with my one year old grandson, he loves to play with her and she loves the attention. She also gets along with our Pit Bull mix that decided to adopt us (but that is another story).

She is getting up in years, you can see the little grey hairs around her eyes and her muzzle, her hearing is almost gone, and her eyes drain all the time. She has bad breath and horrible gas and warts growing on her in odd places. She was run over accidentally by my Son about 4 years ago. we Doctored her up but it left her with a knotty broken leg that we thought we were going to have to amputate. Luckily we did not have to and she gets around just fine on it. She has breathing problems (which I hear are common) and she likes to lick the dickens out of her front legs.
But all in all she is the best dog that God has ever given to me.
