My precious Sadie girl, and my sweet Oskar boy

Why does he get the pillow?

Why does he get the pillow?

Sadie is my first Boston Terrier. When my old dog (16 years) died, I told myself I cannot go through that pain again, and will not get another dog. That lasted about 2 weeks and I was looking for a new companion. When I finally decided that I could not live without a dog, my next decision was not so much a type of dog, but more a style of dog.
I had dog sat for a friend of mine a couple of times, and he had 2 Bostons, I had so enjoyed them while they were here. I got on the internet to see what might be available and found there was a Boston Terrier Rescue right here in Middle Tennessee. I went to there site and looked at the available dogs. The second I saw Sadie's picture there with a smile from ear to ear, I knew she was for me. I filled out the paperwork, had my home visit, and got approved to adopt from the Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue. Since Sadie was being fostered in Indiana, her foster mom and I agreed to meet in Kentucky, and I have never looked back. My friend drove, so I had the entire trip home to hold and love on her. She is so precious I couldn't stand leaving her to go to work, so I then set about looking for another Boston to keep her company.
It was the Alabama Boston Terrier rescue that had exactly what I was looking for; young, male, and I thought smaller. It turns out he was bigger, but was skinny due to the rough time he had before he found his way into the rescue, by way of the dog pound. Oh, he is the sweetest boy! They are both young, and look forward to the years ahead with these two companions.
