Nikki,

You have adopted a very young dog; most states have laws that puppies must be 8 weeks old before they are sold. With that said, there's nothing to stop them from being given away younger, and my first dog was 6 weeks old (not a Boston, just a Lab/Golden X) because we answered an ad in the paper. It would be a good idea for you to Google some sites to get information on caring for very young pups and how they "imprint." I know we got one of ours at 7 weeks and a few days, and I still think the things that "scared" him then still scare him today, just because he was a little younger than desired. You must also try to curb this destructive biting behavior; what is cute at 6 weeks old is not cute with adult teeth. Again, try to learn some techniques for correcting very young puppies. I usually use the "alpha-wolf" by turning them on their backs and holding them in place after a transgression. You look them in the eye, and very gently but firmly "scold" them with "No bite" or "No whatever." When they turn the head away from you and relax their bodies, then they have acknowledged you as the leader of their pack. It's more difficult with an "alpha" dog, but it's more necessary than ever to establish your dominance. Good luck with your new baby. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine! Alternative chew toys should be provided, as well.
