My female boston jumps at the walls all the time and then we realized she is chasing the shadows and/or lights.

Snapping at flies
by: anonomous

I don't want to alarm you and I'm not a vet. Whenever you have questions as to the health of your dog it is best to speak to your veterinarian. However, my dog use to snap at flies that weren't there and I always tried to "snap" him out of it by getting his attention onto something else. I read that it is considered a pre-seizure activity. This doesn't necessarily mean your dog is going to have a seizure. At age 14 my dog died of a brain tumor. His postures and gait slowly changed and I thought it was just old age. I'm not saying your dog has a brain tumor either but it's worth going to the vet.
