I have a boston terrier that is about 5 years old. Last year one of his ears starting swelling and we noticed a bubble like on the ear. It is filled with blood. Eventually it went away and then his ear drooped from then on. It never has stood back up. This year the other ear is doing the same thing. Any suggestions??

Thanks for your input. I clean his ears on a regular basis as I know Boston's are known for yeast infections. But I have never noticed it to be the case. I figured that is what it is I just wanted someone else's input.

ear swellings

this has happened to a germanshepherd I owned only it did not go away on its own. it was caused by her shaking her head due to an ear infection. She needed surgery to drain the ear and the vets put many many stitches in it to form scar tissue so the tissues would not seperate again and get fluid/blood build up again. Dogs with up right ear are suceptible to ear infections as well as yeast infections of the ears. I suggest checking your Bostons ears... is there dark discharge/wax or is there an odor? if there is you will need to schedule a trip to the vets.
My Shepherds ear never stood up again after that but she was so happy to be pain free she could not wait to go back to the vets for the removal of the stitches... I think she thought she was at the spa ( weird I know )

Eyes

Sorry, I have no idea what the problem is, but noticed that your dog has one white and one black eye. Howie from Missouri and T J from Tennessee also have that trait. So, the score now stands at Tenn. 2 Missori 1. Come folks, if you have one of these, send in your picture.
