My Boston Terrier

My Boston Terrier is so protective. It's as if she hates everyone, including animals outside of the home. I drive truck for a living, so I'm home on the weekends. My Boston "Minnie"gives my girlfriend a run for her money mon-fri. She won't listen to her and wont eat much. When I get home, she turns into the sweetest thing. She eats like a horse, lays in my lap, plays fetch and sleeps by my side of the bed and does as I say.

When I'm gone, she wont let my girlfriend sit in my recliner and constantly runs into the bedroom and lays on my pillow. This is my 2nd Boston. Is this normal?
