I adopted Missy when she was a year old. She had extreme behavior issues from lack of discipline. It took a lot of work to get her to where she should be.Now when she acts out.I'll ask her if she is going to be a good girl after I call discipline her and she gives me a high five. She has come a long way where as at first it seemed hopeless. She ate rat poison when the plumbers came to do work and failed to put it back .Luckily I saw the green in her teeth and caught it in time.I think whoever had Missy before must have abused her because she gets very upset when I get the fly swat out to swat flys and she hates the broom. She is adjusting well to her new home. ~~~~

Yes it is sad to see so many dogs whohave been mistreated. I am glad your dog is blessed to have a loving home that every pet deserves. Best of health to you and your friend!~~~

I know what you mean. It is really sad to see the reaction to a dog that has been mistreated. amay dog dosen't like newspaper. She knows she is loved aas well. When she first came home I thought I was never going to be able to get her straightened out but she has come a loooong way. I had a boston terrier that I had since he was 6 weeks old and he passed away at age 16. He was a sweetheart. Hope you have a great mother's day.

I know what you mean about her behavior issues. Having rescued a year-old Boston myself, I know that she must have been hit and yelled at. Even if I'm just calling for my husband in a loud voice, she gets tense and wonders what's going to happen. She is afraid of the newspaper. She's been hit and yelled at, but I know in our house, she's loved and well taken care of. Keep up the good work!
