my boston pup is just a little too clueless..

my boston pup has been with me for more than a week now and he still doesn't have any clue what his name is. he doesn't respond when he's called. how long does it take for a boston pup to be familiar with his name?

It took Ollie FOREVER to learn his name. He's sweet, but he's not too bright. If you give him a command that he knows well, he tilts his head and will have to stop and think....."oh, don't tell me I know this one...is it...nope, nope, oh wait, don't tell me......" He finally does get it right, but it takes him time. Learning his name was the same way. Don't give up, it's worth the effort.
