My Boston Needs Help

Hi, my Boston Terrier Brandy has been suffering with what the vets call allergies for 3 years. We have changed her food, used the recommended shampoos, gave Benadryl and have even had her tested for what she is allergic to. Nothing seems to help.

I was researching her symptoms and it seems to me that it could be hypothyroidism. She has no hair on her tail, is losing hair on her body, has lumps with pus under her skin, has chronic ear infections, is tired all the time, has to lick your skin at all times, and chews on her feet. Does anyone have any knowledge about what can be the cause of this? We feed her only Science Diet Natural Lamb and rice small bites.

I have two BT's and my female developed allergies at about 2yrs old. She used to scratch and itch all the time. She was tested for allergies and went on injections which seemed to help. Then she had bad reaction with final meds so we decided to discontinue. Took her back to vet who recommended prednisone every other day, which is now doing the trick. She very rarely itches or scratches and the meds are about 25 dollars a month.

check out the site NZYMES.com. I would ask the vet for advice before using, but have heard that it helps with various problems.
