Mika Post surgery Day 1

It has been a while since my last post about Hoshi. (deaf Boston) But this time it is about my Mika. Our beautiful Mika was rushed into surgery on 2-9-12 for having a blockage. The Ultrasound showed that Mika had some sort of string wrapped around her small intestine which in return anchored it down. We had no choice but to have the surgery or she would go septic and die. I enclosed a picture of post surgery. I wanted to share with everyone what happens when you have a Boston that loves to eat things. It happened to be stuffing/Quilt backing from her comforter. There was over 1 ft long twisited stuffing around the intestine. We are asking fellow Boston Terriers to share with as many people as they can this story. We want everyone to know how costly this can be if you have a dog that does this. The surgery was over 5,000.00. I even had her released right after surgery to care for her myself at home to save on the Vet bills. We are having a fundraiser to help pay for her medical expenses. We would also love help in just getting the word out there. Please visit her page for updates at
