Maizy from Omaha

Maizy is a 7 month old female BT. When she has been separated from me for any amount of time, upon my return she goes beserk, jumping, licking and nipping. When is it a stranger entering the house, the behavior is escalated.

I have a Bugg that used to display this type of behavior when I got her and I started ignoring her when I came home until she was calm and quiet then I would pet her. Now when I come home she sits and waits patiently for her pat instead of jumping all over and on me which personally I can not stand. With quests I won't let her at the door she has to stand back until I give her permission and if she gets hyper I send her back ( snap and point ) until she is calm. I also will not allow my guests to pet her until she is behaving in a calm manner.

As a result I am happier and so is she, she knows what is expected and as a reward for her being calm she gets a pat.

You have to love how smart and willing to please the Boston is and their exuberance for life.
