Lucic and Chara - JRT/Boston Mix

I have two... Brother and sister, they are 6 months old and very hyper! They are basically good pups however I can't wait till they get over all the chewing! I was only considering taking one pup but couldn't bare to desperate them as they were only two born to my neighbors Boston terrier. The father (jack russel) was my dog but unfortunately was killed:( these two are the cutest, they are great with the kids but could also have a mean streak when looking after their territory.

Bossies and Jack Russels are smart dogs.They can learn what to do and what not to do if you take the time to teach them.They are like 2 year old children in ways and sometimes should be treated as such.
As far as the chewing issue.Buy them some toys of their own and teach them that other things that they are chewing on does not belong to them and they need to leave it alone.Show them an object that does not belong to them and tell them NO,THIS IS NOT A TOY,then give them a toy to play with.
As far as being territorial,you need to spend time with them in the area that they are being that way about and help them realize that you are not a threat to them or their belongings.Even if you have to lie down next to them by their bed to let them know.If you don't they might end up biting someone and that is not good.
