Love our boston in Florida

Our boston is crate trained but we have started leaving him out at night. He does not sleep in our room because he makes to much noise, now he has decided to bark at our bedroom door at 4am to get us up. This just started, he has had the run of the house for about 4 months, at night, and we never had this problem...any ideas why it has started?

My 13 month old Boston Terrier did the same thing at 4 AM. A trainer suggested I not give her access to food and water after 6pm. I tried it, and after a few days, the 4am urge to go outside stopped. Now she waits till 7am and runs to the door to signal it's time.

Is your AC cranked up? He might be cold and just want to be with you. Our BTs sleep in bed with us under the covers; when we rescued our girl, it was quite a wild rumpus at first, but it gradually became less exciting and after a few weeks, they began to settle in just fine. Otherwise, unless he has to go out to do his AM business, I have no other ideas.
