Kiko is very sick...Help!

Kiko has been very sick for the last 4 days. His symptoms includes vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargic, shivering, and today he had black stool. We've taken him to the vet 2 days ago. The vet ran X-ray and blood work...both came back negative except for dehydration. So they gave Kiko a shot of antibiotics and an injection of fluid. they also gave him Cerenia (prevents vomiting). He got better for a day, then we're back to square one again. We racked up good amount of $$$ without any diagnosis from the vet. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks in advance.

I feel so sorry for you and for Kiko - what a darling he so did not deserve this.

I had a dog who was sick and was given Cerenia too. However when I came back from the vets and thought about things clearly - it seemed wrong to me that he was given something to stop the sickness as there is clearly something that needs to come out !

If he were mine I would try some natural yoghurt and plenty of fresh water. He is so young bless him - I hope he improves soon.

My boston died last month of the same symptoms..he started with vomiting..took him to the vet immediately he was given two shots he stopped vomitin for two days but wouldn't eat ..I gave him pedialyte the vomit began again around day 3..I had another vet take a look both said he had enlarged lymph nodes..the second vet took him for two weeks but my little guy lost all his body mass n wouldn't eat...I gave him a calorie paste to substitute food..good luck and I wish you the best and god bless..unfortunately the vets couldn't give me a straight answer
