Jealous and depressed Boston Terrier

Boston Terrier depresses and jealous after we introduced a new dog. She is hiding, doesn't greet us anymore, and spends most of her time under the bed.

castrate or not to castrate ?
by: Anonymous

Hello again. The answer to my Question was not really answered because I asked that I have a 3yr old male boston and have now bought a ten week old male puppy. So, would you have the puppy castrated to stop any fighting, as my older boston has got all his bits intact? Thanks again.

Give her time and plenty of attention. Decide who you want to be the lead dog (it should be you). Tell her to come out and play ball or go for a walk or something. Include the "newbie" and let her know that you want both of them in your pack.

I will probably take 2 or more weeks to get things straight.
