My dog is a Boston Terrier/Puggle mix. He looks more like a Boston though. There is not a lot of information on this mix out there, most of the things I read are all negative and refer to it as a "designer" breed. I have had all sorts of dogs, mix and purebred, and I have always had less trouble with the mixes, they are not as high strung as pures and they are easier to train.

My mix pup is just 10 weeks old and he was house broken since 8 weeks old (of course there is still the occasional accident!). I had a purebred golden retriever that was not house trained until he was almost 4 months old. I think everyone needs to start looking at mixes more positively. There are good and bad in all dog breeds, just like people, and all dog breeds started out as "mutts" at one time...

I Just got mine and love them to pieces!
by: ash626

I just got my puggle/boston terrier mix 2 wks a go they were given to me by a friend they are 8wks old and beautiful and very luvable...Emie is our little girl and Roman is our little boy. they look just like jake too! feature wise color wise Emie is a brendel with white on her belly and legs and nose and Roman is tan and white. They are very good with our kids we have 4 they are 5,4,2, 9 months. They do bite quit a bit in a playful way sometimes a little hard with their puppy teeth but they are learning very quick and also have been quick to learn about going out! We are very pleased they are a great addition to our big family our oldest two really wanted a dog and when my friend offered I jumped on it so glad I made the right decision (: It has also been great for my girls in learning responsibility in taking care of stuff they do great at taking them out and feeding them...but of course I am the one who takes them out through the night they were like newborns at first lol!

We have a boston terrie/puggle mix. I posted to you last night, but i don't see it. I swear they could be related. I love the breed, and would recommend her breed to anyone looking for a new pup!

Nice to meet someone!

I walked in to an off the wall pet store, and walked out with a boston terrier/puggle mix. We tell everyone she is super unigue, and your little guy looks like he could be our Madie's brother! We have not be successful in finding any information on this breed either. All I can tell you is she stops traffic. People are stumped by her features, and cannot help to ask what she is. She has personality galore, and we have truly had a blast with her since the day we brought her home, just 3 short months ago. We got her very young. We already had a 98 lb Yellow Lab, and Madie is glued to him all the time. She was the perfect addition for our family!

Please Help Me Find a New Dog.
by: Drew

Recently "Bones" my Boston/Puggle mix passed and me and my girlfriend are heart broken without him. Time has passed and we are looking into getting another dog but only want another boston/puggle because bones was the best dog we both have ever had. I can not find any info anywhere however and if someone could please point us in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated .

Jake

I think he was about 16lbs at 4mths, he's all legs though, needs to fill out more! His father was a decent size boston so I think that's why he's a bit big.
Ya, everyone thinks he's a boxer or pitbull pup.
I live in Ontario and there is a pit bull ban here, so we get looks allll the time when we are out, mostly disapproving looks from people that don't know any better, kind of sad really...

Wow, You have yourself a great looking dog. He looks huge for only 22 pounds :)
How much did he weight when he was 4 months? Lola is 4 months and only weights 9 pounds right now. Oh hey btw do people ask if he's a pit or a boxer? Because I get it a lot over here lol.

boston terrier/puggle
by: Melissa

Funny you mention that because it's the one thing I couldn't train him to stop doing! He doesn't bite hard by any means but just kind of mouths my hands.
The good thing is he has lost all of his puppy teeth so its more pressure than pain when he bites.
I have been teaching him the "gentle" command which seems to work most of the time, especially when he really gets excited and grips a little too hard.
What does your pup look like? I would love to see a picture!

Hi, we too have a boston/puggle mix. She was 3 months when we bought her. She is a very smart puppy she sits, down, stays and gives paw. It only took about 1 week to fully housebreak her. Only thing is that she bites a lot in a playful way. Does your pup do the same?
