Tater Tot

Tater Tot

I rescued Tater from my local shelter about 2 months ago. We were told when we got him that he was a purebred chihuahua, but my vet thinks he is a Bo-Chi. He is larger than the average Chihuahua, and he weighs 11.6 lbs. His coloring is mostly black, but he has white on his chest and feet, and his legs and head are colored with some reverse brindle.....Regardless of what his breed is I absolutely fallen in love with him, and my whole family has too.

My puppy looks EXACTLY like yours. Same colors and everything. They are twins. I was told mine was a chihuahua mix, but I never knew what else he was. I am completely convinced he is a Bo-Chi now.

Bo-Chi vs Chi
by: Anonymous

Hi,

I have both a full Chihuahua and a Bo-Chi. I think Tater might just be a full Chihuahua. People, including vets, often think that if they are over 6 or 7 pounds they are not pure bred but the truth is Chihuahuas come in all sizes and as we know, colors. They can weight 11-12 lbs and sometimes a bit more!! But they are still Chis (so long the stay within the toy breed) My Chihuahua weights about that much and he is full bred. Tater's features in my opinion are more of a pure bred Chihuahua than one with Boston Terrier in him. And he's adorable!

We have a Bo-Chi in rescue and he is a neat little dog. I love BT's. Good luck with your new addition.
