I just neutered my Boston Terrier

Hi, I just neutered my Boston Terrier he is going to be 6 next month. He is not his hyper self he sleeps all day and if I let him he would eat all day long. Is this normal? I don't want him to put on weight any ideas I do walk him twice a day.
