We have a Boston Terrier/Jack Russell mix dog. She is 12 years old. We got her as a family pet for Christmas when she was 8 weeks old. Her name is Holly. We paid $50 for her, and that is the best $50 I have ever spent. She has been the absolute most wonderful dog anyone could ask for. She is my baby. She is a people dog for sure. She loves people. She is quite spoiled, sleeping in our beds, under the blankets, sits on our furniture, etc. She is great around children. She loves to go for a ride and sniff out the window. It has gotten to the point where we have to "spell" words like "Go", "Walk", "Ride" around her, as she knows what these words are. Sometimes I think she knows what we are spelling too. I would someday like to have another Boston Terrier/Jack Russell mix. About a year ago we noticed her losing weight and she wasn't eating well. She has been taking meds for the past year, and is doing well. I hope we have a few more years with her. She has been the love of my life.

Dog is now eating Blue Buffalo Dogfood

This is my Holly. For the past year + we have been struggling with her eating habits/or lack of eating habits. We originally took her to the vet over a year ago because we noticed she was losing weight and also noticed she was not eating well. She was put on meds for issues with her liver. We have struggled for more than a year to come up with "homemade" dog food, since she seemed to quit eating any dog food at all. It started out ok, but then she would eat something for a day or two, then wouldn't eat it. I was wasting too much food and spending too much money in trying to conger up healthy homemade dog food she would eat.

A friend of mine recently suggested Blue Buffalo Dog food. I bought the smaller kibbles for terriers and some canned. Lo and behold, she is eating it. We are on week 3 now. I keep some out all the time, then approximately 2 times per day I personally offer it to her and she has been eating quite well. I don't know what it is with the Blue Buffalo Dogfood, but I am at awe at how well she is eating it. We also bought her the "Thundershirt" because she was showing signs of anxiety, I am not sure at this point how well it is working, but am giving it time. If you are struggling with your dog not eating, try Blue Buffalo, as it must have a "magic" taste for even the most picky of dogs, my Holy.

Holly is beautiful ..... I am so glad to hear that she has lead such a happy and long life. She is very blessed to have you also . We have 2 of this breed and we too adore them and their personalities. They are excellent family dogs in my opinion. Such fun to watch them play. We have about 32 acres and our male loves to "hunt" . Soccer , oh my since they were very little we have not been able to have a family game of soccer without the pups .... they are incredible players . Not much for team playing tho .... Buck would pick up the ball and run !!!! Really neat to play with them .
