Has this happen to anyone?

I got my Baxter & I want to show & breed him as a hobby type thing. My 8 year old daughter (who has Down Syndrome) wants to do the same thing & started saving her money to buy her own puppy (of course I helped pay for it). I thought it was a great Mother & daughter thing to do... Sad to say, I think we may have been scr*wed. :( We got Bellah (who we love dearly now) from a breeder who told us that the papers didn't come in yet & that as soon as they do they would mail them to us. Well, 3 weeks later nothing. Not even an email saying they haven't gotten them yet or anything... So, today I got in touch with AKC & they told me she in in the system, but nothing about registering any litters... :( How long does it take to get the litter registeration papers? OMG! It's so depressing, I can't tell Heather that she can't show Bellah (that's her baby). I guess all I can do is start saving again (like I did for Baxter) to get another puppy. I guess I have to stop trusting people, 750.00 down the toilet. But I still love Bellah, she's a good puppy & I wouldn't give her up for the world. Thanks everyone for letting me vent...
