Has anyone had a Boston that throws up a lot?

I have a 10 month old Boston who is very healthy and playful, but has this annoying habit of throwing up. Sometimes it will happen for no reason, other times it will be right after he drinks a lot of water. It's undigested and in a pool of slime. He doesn't seem affected by it, and I've taken him to the vet and all is fine. I switched him about a month ago from Merrick Puppy Plate to Before Grain Salmon flavor. I have read that Natural Balance as well as Evo is good for dogs with sensitive stomachs, just wonder if anyone has been able to find a really good food for Bostons with sensitive stomachs.

I've been reading the forum and posted the same issue I have with my dog. He throws up about 3 times a week. I've rushed him to emergency and he was put on Gastro which worked for about 2 weeks then he got sick of the food. He is now on Acana Pacifica which worked for about 2 months. He is now eating weeds and making himself throw up. I never tried Blue Buffalo but have tried a lot of other brands and nothing works. I feel so bad for him because he actually looks like he`s uncomfortable, but as soon as he throws up he`s fine. If he doesnt eat weeds and throws up its just white flem...sometimes a bit of yellow bile.

throwing up
by: Dexter

My dog is dog is doing a lot better now (i posted earlier)It got so bad with his eating I had to feed him one kibble at a time every day.

I then switched his food to Acana Pacifica. He seems to enjoy the food a lot. He has been fine since and has not thrown up once. I also try to keep him calm after he eats as he tends to run around like crazy right after. I believe that helps as well.

my boston has thrown up for over 2 years

I have two bostons. Little Daisy Mae is fine but Abbey is another story. Since we got her as a puppy she has thrown up all the time. We fed her Natural Balance original for about the 1st year of her life. My vet suggested that we switch to the Allegery formula so now we feed her the Duck and Potato. It seemed to help for a while but shes back to throwing up again. My vet said that the next step is to do a test where they put a camera down her throat. I;m not sure if I want to do that or not. I don't know if bostons just thrown up a lot or it is something more serious. LIke everyone else here its usually after she gets up, plays alot, or drinks alot, and it always undigested food.

Good News

The Good News is they may grow out of this annoying habit. My male is now 2 years old and he did this all the time when he was younger. We just kept looking for the right food until it stopped here are some things you can try also. I fed him food that was bigger and I knew he had to chew and would just not swallow whole because Bostons take in alot of air when they eat so if they are just gulping and swallowing whole bits they are probably getting more air in their stomachs. I always look for the sensitive stomach label no matter what dog food I buy. If you feed them any real food always make sure there is no greasy content to it like meat fat, rich or spicey foods will also make them sick.

Same issue with throwing up
by: Dexter

Hi, i have a 6 months old Boston puppy and having the same issue. He throws up 3 times a week sometimes, usually in the mornings when he wakes up. sometimes in the afternoons about half hour or so after he eats. It looks like his food is not even chewed. But he doesnt seem to be affected by it either.

The vet even took xrays and found nothing. I am trying a food called Gastro now which worked for about a week.

HELP?!
