Harley joined our family 7/15/09. We adopted him from Pal's Animal Rescue here in Wichita, KS. When I was approved to adopt him, I had to wait over a month before I could get him because he was heartworm positive and going through treatment.

Apparently, the medication caused some lung inflammation and he had to receive additional treatment for that. I have to take him back to the vet in October for his post-hearworm check and have got my fingers crossed that he will check out negative this time.

Believe me he was worth waiting for - he is the spark that lights up our lives. He keeps our two older pups, Parker and Bo active with his non-stop "LET'S PLAY" attitude. At first I think he was just a pain-in-butt to them, but now they seem to enjoy to playing with him, too!

He's my little darling.
