Happy Birthday to my Vedo

My husband came home from work one day and announced he was getting a Boston Terrier. After firmly telling him I wanted nothing to do with another dog, we have a cow-dog also, and that it would be his and his alone, he agreed that would be fine and he would take care of it. So we got Vedo, from a breeder/friend/co-worker and almost exactly four weeks later Vedo pottied on the floor, my husband spanked him and NEVER again did Vedo see him as "pack leader". He's my dog now, going with me wherever I go and when I leave for a night, or longer, Vedo sits in the window and pouts. On occasion he has been known to run-away when my husband isn't watching. The only way to get him back is for my hubby to get in my car and drive the block a couple of times. Vedo thinks it's me and gets in...

I love my Boston!! Even though he doesn't play ball, which is kinda weird, and he doesn't even have the "proper" markings, which makes him MORE special, he's my buddy just the same!!

He'll be 5 years old on June 26th!! Happy Birthday Vedo-Vedo!!!

Vedo seems such a sweet boston. I love bostons and I am a proud boston mom. It just bothers me a lot that still some people " spank" rather than proper correction a little dog in order to train him!! All creatures especially dogs are so precious and need to be treated with love and care. They need instruction and training but negative punishment would cause more harm than anything else. I am so glad little Vedo bonded with you so closely. Bostons are so loving and got such sensative feelings that anything can ruin the beautiful bond that they can develop with their people. Good luck to you and little Vedo. Take care of little Vedo!
