Someone told this..do not know if it is true

i have a BT Puppy almost 1 year old
he has wonderful marking and a cute round black spot on his head. it is white where the spot is and show up a lot. we should have called him spot but his name is Duke.
Someone told me that it is a good sign of breeding if they have this spot on head.
Has anyone heard of this? He just fathered a female boston terrier. she has 6 puppies and about 4 have some kind of spot on their head too
what do you think?

ed. - It's called a "Haggerty Spot". Here's some more info: "One of the old founding lines of Bostons way back in the early 1900's was owned by the Haggertys. Many of their Bostons were born with the dot on the top of their heads, and the marking became associated with the line.

I had never heard of this spot until a utility worker saw my boston pup and said I see your boston has a lucky spot and proceeded to tell me the story. He said it showed excellent breeding and I was lucky to find such a great dog!

My one Boston has it, but his cousin doesn't, you can see where it was going to go all the way around but the black eye patch cut it off.
This one judge called it " the kiss of God, the icing on the cake when it came to Bostons Markings.

I've heard both stories. My Matty is six months old & everybody seems to love the dot on her head. She also has a white face so most people don't believe she is a purebred Boston. I've been to events with 60+ Boston Terriers and I promise you, I've never met two alike.

Whatever spots or features your dog has if you own a Boston, your pooch is one of a kind.

Is it a Haggerty Spot or Haggerty's Thumb Print? I guess it really doesn't matter, it's cute!!! One of our Bostons just had her second litter of 7 pups! 1 male, 6 females. Three of them have this mark. Such an awesome breed!!

I looked online and also see it referred to as an "Angels Kiss" or the Haggerty Spot with the same story given on your post. Got our boston 4 months ago and she has one... way to cute!

Our new six week old Boston also has a spot on her head. Didn't know it had a special name. How cute is that.

My little Boston has a Haggerty spot on her head too :) Cool beans! Don't tell her tho she already thinks she is the princess! Lol!
