Glucosamine/Chondroitin for ear cartilage strength?

My 4 month old Boston has one ear that is 1/2 flopped. I know he still has some time for it to straighten out. I had an idea to use Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplements to strengthen the cartilage. This supplement works to strengthen cartilage in dogs who have cartilage issues in their joints, so why wouldn't it work for their ears?

Anyone try this?
