Found Boston Terrier!

by Melissa
(Ohio)

Hi, we've recently found a Boston Terrier in our area and I've called everywhere to see if anyone lost one (i.e., animal control, shelters, etc.). Nothing! He's around 1 1/2 or 2 and he's good with my children, but he bit my husband in the face the other night when he got too close to our son. The dog was sitting beside my son, or somewhere close. I don't know if he was scared or what. My husband works long hours and he's not used to him being around that much and he seems to be scared of men. He likes him though and is always jumping on him for attention so I don't know why he did it.

I really want to keep him because he's so sweet, but I don't want him hurting my children. Does anyone think this might just be a one time thing? He knew he was in trouble because he slept in the bathroom all night in the baby bathtub (with a blanket of course!).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea who his owners were before and he is not neutered nor do I have any experience with this type of dog.

Thanks,
Melissa

Bostons are people lovers!!
by: Anonymous

He's been through such an ordeal. If he was coming towards him from above, that's a dominating gesture and was probably just scared!! You never know what happened to him before and dogs don't reason, they just react. Give him lots of love and he'll love and trust you more than any man!:) I don't know of any Bostons that are bad with kids, but they will feel the need to protect them! Good luck!! If you dont want him, let me know and I will take him!! I'm in Michigan!!!
