Fighting female Boston Terriers

I have 3 boston terriers...1 male and 2 females. The one female is the puppy from a litter between the male and female. The puppy is almost 1 now and the mother has attacked her 3 times. I am worried that it is going to escalate and want to know if there is anything I can do? If i spay them will this help? I have neutered the male so there will be no more puppies, but I don't want to have to give one away bit I am afraid that the mom is going to do serious damage. I noticed that the mom gets nasty when my sons girlfriend comes over because they both want her attention. What can i do to protect my baby???
