eye tears staining white fur

We have a 6mth old wonderful Boston named Tiki La Rue. Her facial markings are half black and half white. The tearing from her eyes has created a significant pink/reddish staining on her white fur. Is there anything out there that has been used to prevent/lessen the staining? We did discuss this with our vet but she felt nothing worked well to relieve the issue.

 Wash face daily

I noticed this same problem with my Dixie girl when she was a pup and decided to just wash her face with a warm washcloth daily. I make sure to get into the crevices on top of the nose and under the eyes. She doesn't have any staining as long as I wash her face daily.

 tear stains

My Boston Terrier has tear staining as well. I have her on a Holistic diet so I'm not sure that would be any help. The staining started long after I put her on a holistic diet. I was told by my vet that there really isn't anything to do for the staining.

Food can have a lot to do with tear staining. Many breeds on a high quality holistic diet see great improvement in many problems such as tear stains. One food I feed my dogs and really like is Laughing Dog.
